DevRel: The basics

While Developer Relations(DevRel), Evangelists and Advocates have some technical differences depending who you ask, I will keep it simple and in the end I will link to resources if you want the details.

How Tech Twitter helped me get my first DEV job

I have been using Twitter since January 2019 to connect to the Tech Community. Tech twitter is full of great people and I meet some nice devs, found out about events and learned about new learning material. But didn't feel confident enough to look for a job. Until February 2020 it is.

Thanks to other women, Pachi coded 2020

Now, why does being a woman in tech makes me a minority when we are half of the population? Doesn't that sound silly? The thing is, for some reason, in tech we are.

Creating a CSS modal window (pop-up) step-by-step

First, I didn't know what a modal was until I asked my Divaloper sister-in-life for help with my project, so maybe you don't know either. Modal windows are kinda Pop-ups. When you click in something, it opens a window with information.

Using Codepen for more than CSS art

CodePen is an online community for testing and showcasing user-created HTML, CSS and JavaScript code snippets. When you open Codepen's main page, you see all sorts of beautiful CSS art that makes you wonder about how awesome CSS truly is and ponder about how you know nothing about CSS (or is that just me?).

What are your goals for 2020? Here are mine:

I will divide mine into Tech related x Non-tech related rather then professional x personal, because if I am being honest some of my tech goals are personal but I pretend they are professional 😂. Some are both! But you can share any goals and in any ways you want.

What have I done in 2019?

This has been quite the weird year to me. As every other year, a lot happened. Good things, Bad things... But 2019 was a specially challenging year to me.

My 2019 Dev conferences report

The year is almost over, and everybody is checking their 2019 statuses and sharing about their year, so here I am to do the same. 2019 was my first full-year as a developer in development and thanks to some Scholarships I finally braved my fear of people a bit and went to 3 conferences in NYC over the year:

There are a lot of resources out there and you probably know about them, but today I am writing about the ones I have personally used. I will tell you why I like them and what I learned. While most are free resources, some are paid.
